This is one of those months that makes me really love my job. Donít get me wrong... I love my job all the time since I really enjoy covering entertainment and sharing it with all of you. But this month, like Trent in Swingers, I get to see some of my boys "All growns up!"
The "boys" I am referring to are the All-American Rejects. Nick and Tyson graced one of the very early covers of Stillwater Scene back in 2001 and have been featured in the magazine a few other times since then. In those five short years, I have watched these guys go from being a duo with a drum machine playing songs about how pasty white one of their high school girlfriends used to be to having two platinum albums. Not bad for a couple of Stillwater locals!
I got the chance recently to again chat with one of the All-American Rejects about life on the road for an exclusive interview for Stillwater Scene and it always makes me smile. One, because any one of the guys or all of them together are just so goofy it always makes for a fun interview. Secondly, I am just so damn proud of those guys for putting Oklahoma, and Stillwater specifically, on the map again.
Anyway, kudos to those guys, and we at Stillwater Scene wish them much continued success in the years to come.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
Thank you, Stillwater, for helping us grow.
